Final Reflection

1. Several things I've done in this in class are the Edward hopper inspired writings, which were probably my favorite pieces to do; the children's story; and the color poems, which I struggled with.

2.A piece of work I read from a classmate was a story from Naomi. She hasn't posted it on her blog, but it was phenomenal. It was captivating and intriguing. It sounded like a published story. I loved it. Another thing I've read outside of this class is a gateway book, Delirium, it was pretty good.

3. I was very tentative when setting up my blog. I still am when I post things on it. I don't enjoy it one bit. I don't want anyone to read it. Honestly, I'm not sure why I took this class. I will not continue to use this blog after this class.

4.Most of the things in my journal are the activities we did in class. There are a few pages just filled with my thoughts or what's going on in my life at the time.  I like journaling, but I wouldn't want anyone to read it. I only like writing for myself. When I write for real I put my emotions into it, and I don't like sharing my feelings with others, even if it's considered to be an art form.

5. If I could have the hands of anyone I would want the hands of a hand model. Being a hand model would be pretty much the occupation out there. I would have to keep them nicely manicured all the time for my job, and that would not be an issue with me. I also would not be able to do dishes or any other hands on hard work- gotta keep 'em lookin' good! And on top of all that I'm getting paid for it? Sweet action!

6. My Husband and I are sitting at the table starting at each other intently, as if to say "are you sure about this?" He gave a small nod, and I took in a big breath. The restaurant is busy, and filled with the sound of chatter from happy customers, so it shouldn't be too hard to leave unnoticed. My face tightens as I think of what I'm about to do, It's so wrong, yet so thrilling and exciting. I feel the heat of my coffee mug against my palms as I finish it off. I take in a quick and anxious breath, and in with it comes the sweet aroma of fresh fruits and pastries. I stand and my husband quickly joins me, and off we walk right out to the car. Not a single person paid a lick of attention. That was easier than I thought.

7. I don't think I'll do any creative writing in the future, unless it's just for fun. I like to write to relieve myself of extreme boredom, and occasionally clear my head. This writing is a lot different than what we typically do in school. It's entirely up to me, my thoughts, ideas, and creativity.

8.My words of encouragement would be- you are all so talented, keep your head up, and do you. No matter who knocks you down, brush it off and do your thing, because no body else can do it like you.

9. Leave a comment on 3 classmates' blogs.

  1. Allison, I am going to miss seeing your face every morning when I walk into class. I think that you made me laugh a lot this past semester and I am going to miss telling you about all of my problems. Thank you for having fun with me!

  2. Oh, Allison. Blunt until the very end. Good job getting your work done, though.
